Trying Out Something New!!!

As a part of my Elective module I was asked to create a craft out of recyclable things. So i wonder what to do. A lot of ideas and i couldn't make my mind. At last i decided to create a USB TABLETOP WATER FOUNTAIN.

How to create a tabletop water fountain powered by a USB cable? What are the items that are needed? 

Items used:

• Recyclable food container
• Bamboo shoots
• 9V recyclable DC motor 
• Old USB cable
• Aquarium tube
• Decorative sand
• Water bottle
• Shoe polish cap  

First of all, the purpose of me decided to do this project is because i like nature. This fountain can give a feel of nature even when you are indoor. Nowadays, people are very busy with their studies and work, they have no time to enjoy the beautiful nature outside. Secondly, it can help to release stress. It can be simply plugged to a laptop and keep on the desk. By just looking at the water flowing from one bamboo shoot to another, stress can be reduced. 

It took 12 days for me to complete my project. To be specific, three weekends and the whole Hari Raya holiday. I had to go back Ipoh every weekends to do my project. 

Before starting my project i make a draft first. I browsed some YouTube videos to get ideas on the designing of tabletop water fountain and on how to make a 9V DC motor water pump. After that i start collecting items that are needed for my project. It was not very hard for me to collect the items, as it should be made of recyclable things, i altered most of the things that i found useful. I should thank my dad for helping me to cut bamboo shoots and providing with some tools such as battery drill, saw and sandpaper.
